«Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus). Main activities: pulmonary antiseptic, expectorant, mucolytic, anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic, cold-preventing, against pharyngitis and sinusitis.
Therapeutic use: acute and benign bronchial diseases.
Medical use. In bronchopulmonary diseases and upper respiratory tract infections (pharyngitis, sinusitis).
The essential oil stimulates the bronchial epithelium and acts as an anti-inflammatory; … it also has an antibacterial effect, demonstrated in vitro, and an antifungal action (Candida albicans)… It is also useful as an antiseptic in urinary tract infections and in some forms of intestinal infectious symptoms with fever and diarrhoea.
The essential oil is absorbed by the intestine and eliminated through the urine, giving it a smell of violet.
Anti-parasitic activity, particularly useful against the various species of Pediculus [different types of lice]…
EXTERNAL USE. In case of sinusitis and cold, it reduces inflammation and congestion and is indicated in bronchial disorders (by inhalation: 2-3 drops in a cup of boiling water). It can be easily absorbed by the skin so it can be used in case of rheumatic pain (put 5 ml of essential oil in 100 ml of vegetable oil and massage the painful area)» [1].  
«Eucalyptus. INTERNAL USE. Indications: respiratory diseases: acute and chronic bronchitis, flu, pulmonary tuberculosis, pulmonary gangrene, asthma, cough, urinary tract diseases: various infections, colibacillosis; diabetes; certain diseases and pyrexia (malaria, typhoid, measles, scarlet fever, cholera); rheumatism, neuralgia; intestinal parasites (roundworms, pinworms); migraine; asthaenia.
Essential oil: 3 to10 drops, 3 to 4 times a day on a sugar cube or diluted in some water [with honey or hot milk or directly on the affected part (on chest and back in the lung area, belly, joints…): put a few drops of essential oil, pure or diluted in vegetable oil, and gently massage to help absorption].
EXTERNAL USE: Properties: bactericidal (spraying the essential oil of Eucalyptus kills 70% of environmental staphylococci), parasiticide; wound healing; prevents the spread of contagious and lung diseases; repels mosquitoes. Indications: sores, sunburn: medication promotes reformation of epithelial repairing cells; lung diseases, flu, sinusitis; pediculosis; mosquitoes. Inhalation of essential oil (5 to 15 drops in a cup of boiling water). Wounds: essential oil diluted in vegetable oil»[2].
